Create a Special Page

You can set any vocabulary page as a special page, such as a home page or template page.

Change Your Home Page

  1. Go to the page you want to use as your home page.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Page. The page is now in edit mode.

  3. Select Menu. The Edit Page menu opens.  

  4. Select Edit Page Layout. The Edit Page window opens.  

  5. Select the current Page Type. The Page Type menu opens.  

  6. Select Home Page.

  7. Select Done to complete the change and select Done to exit edit mode.


Save a Page as a Template

You can use an existing vocabulary page as a template to create new pages quickly.

  1. Go to the page you want to use as your home page.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Page. The page is now in edit mode.

  3. Select Menu. The Edit Page menu opens.  

  4. Select Edit Page Layout. The Edit Page window opens.  

  5. Select the current Page Type. The Page Type menu opens.  

  6. Select Template.

  7. Select Done and then select Save.

  8. The new template page is displayed with the name you gave it.

  9. Add buttons and formatting to the page as needed.

  10. When you finish, select Done to exit edit mode.


Add a New Page from a Template

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page. The page is now in edit mode.

  2. Select Menu and Add New Page.

  3. Select New Page from Template. The New Page Name window opens.

  4. Tap the Page Name field to open a keyboard, enter a name for the new page, and select Save.

    Note: After you select Save, the Save button will becomes disabled so you cannot accidentally select it a second time. The message “Loading” will appear until the new page has finished loading.

  5. The new page will be displayed with the buttons and formatting from the template and will display the name you entered.

  6. Edit the new page as needed.

  7. When you finish, select Done to exit edit mode.


Unable to Delete Home Page

The home page is the starting point for all of the words in your vocabulary. For this reason, you cannot delete the home page. If you try to delete it, a message will advise you to set a different page as the home page.

Example 1: Try to Delete the Home Page from the Edit Page Menu

Select Menu and Edit Page. Then select Menu and Delete This Page. A message will warn that you cannot delete the home page and advise you to set another page as the home page.

Select Okay to close the message. Then set another page as the home page. See Change Your Home Page. If you still want to delete this page, you will now be able to.

Example 2: Try to Delete the Home Page from the Page Type Window

Select Menu and Edit Page. Then select Menu and Edit Page Layout. In the Edit Page window, select Home Page from the Page Type menu. In the Page Type window, select the Home Page checkmark. A message will warn that you cannot uncheck the box and advise you to set another page as the home page.

Select Okay to close the message. Then set another page as the home page. See Change Your Home Page. If you still want to delete this page, you will now be able to.
