PRC-Saltillo provides unique vocabulary files, support packages, and curriculum support in the Upgrade Store. Apple provides an option for these materials to be purchased from within TouchChat.
Note: Logging in to the Upgrade Store requires two-factor authentication.
Explore the Upgrade Store
Enable a wireless connection.
Select Vocab and Choose New Vocab.
Select Menu and Upgrade Store.
To make a purchase:
In the Upgrade Store, make a selection and enter your iTunes purchase information.
What happens to my in-app purchases if I re-install TouchChat?
All previously made in-app purchases will automatically be downloaded and installed if you re-install TouchChat. This is applicable only to users who purchased their app and in-app purchases using their Apple Account (Apple ID).
NCMEC First Responder Event
This free in-app download consists of TouchChat pages to support the project by The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, titled “How to Host a Sensory Friendly First Responder Event for Children with Autism”. None of the activities has a link to a home page, so the Back button in TouchChat must be used to move from one activity to another. The idea is that the facilitator will set the page for a specific activity, and then the child will stay on that page. The facilitator will use the Back button to navigate back to the home page. By design, some of the pages don’t speak. They are intended to allow the child to show, rather than tell, the facilitator how he or she is feeling.
iShare Trial and Subscriptions
Each TouchChat download (including TouchChat on unlocked Via devices) include a 1 year free trial of iShare. You can also renew your iShare subscription within the Upgrade Store in TouchChat.
Activate Free Trial of iShare
To activate the free trial of iShare, you must create your account on the device.
Select Vocab and Choose New Vocab.
Select Menu and iShare Service.
Select Register for iShare.
Enter in the information and select Register. The iShare trial will be active for 1 year.
Renew an iShare Subscription
Select Vocab and Choose New Vocab.
Select Menu and Upgrade Store.
Under Services, select either the iShare Individual or Team subscription.
Select Buy.
Follow the purchase prompts. You may need to log into your Apple Account (Apple ID).
Once purchased, select Download.
