App performance issues
If your app has been working well but you're experiencing problems recently, try one of the options below. If this doesn’t solve your problem, please contact us at support@aacapps.com.
Close and re-open the app
If your device has a home button, double press to see all the apps open. If there's no home button, swipe up from the bottom to the middle of the screen.
Swipe up on all open apps.
Re-open the app.
Update the iOS software and your app
To update iOS software:
In iOS Settings, select Software Update.
If an update is available, select Download and Install.
To update your app:
Go to the App Store and select the account icon in the upper right hand corner.
Look under Available Updates to see if an update is available for your app. If so, select Update.
Vocabulary files (.ce) opening in the wrong iOS app
Because all PRC-Saltillo iOS apps use the .ce file format for vocabulary files, the iOS/iPadOS devices associate all vocabulary files with the same default app. If you use more than one PRC-Saltillo app on your iOS device (for example, LAMP Words for Life and TouchChat), all vocabulary files will default to opening in only one of those apps (most likely the first app you downloaded onto the device). To open a vocabulary file in the specific app you want, follow the instructions for one of the scenarios below to select the appropriate app before opening the file.
Scenario 1: Selecting the app you want when importing a vocabulary file
Press and hold on the file.
Select Open With and then select the correct app for this vocabulary file.

Select Yes when a message asks if you want to import the file to the app.
Enter and save information in the Import Vocab window. The file will be added to your vocabulary list in the app you selected.
Scenario 2: Selecting the app you want when you Air Drop a file
When you Air Drop a file, iOS/iPadOS will show the default app the file will open in. If this is not the app in which you want to save this vocabulary file:

Swipe through the app options and select the correct app for this vocabulary file.
Select Yes when a message asks if you want to import the file to the app.
Enter and save information in the Import Vocab window. The file will be added to your vocabulary list in the app you selected.
For schools/organizations
App functionality issues due to restricted websites
If you are using a mobile device management (MDM) system to manage many devices, you may have restrictions in place that block certain app functionality. Make sure the following websites are safelisted:

In addition to safelisting these websites, we recommend opening both port 80 (http) and port 433 (https).
