Choose Broadcast or Keyboard Mode

The AeroSwitch has two connection options: broadcast mode and keyboard mode. The switch ships to you in broadcast mode; however, not all devices are compatible with broadcast mode. See the AeroSwitch Connection Compatibility Guide below for reference.

Differences between the two options:

Limited to scanning within the communication software/app (Empower®, NuVoice®, Chat software, TouchChat®, LAMP Words for Life®, or Dialogue® AAC)	Able to run scanning both within and outside the communication software/app.
Longer battery life (1-3 years, depending on use)	Shorter battery life (2‐3 months, depending on use); replace with rechargeable batteries
If you have a choice between broadcast and keyboard mode and you want to stay strictly within the communication software/app, this is the better option.	If you have a device that’s not compatible with broadcast mode and/or you want to use the switch outside the communication software/app, this is the better option.
