Then pull the top right tab out of the slot in the device frame.
Pull the other tab out of its slot in the frame.

Adjusting Page Size Settings for the TouchGuide
Prior to fitting the TouchGuide in place on your device, you may need to adjust the app page size to work with the TouchGuide. With a page displayed in the app, select Menu > Settings. Scroll down to Page Size and turn Keyguard Inset on. Turning Keyguard Inset on reduces the size of the screen slightly to accommodate the top and bottom borders of the TouchGuide.
Adjusting Speech Display Bar Settings for the TouchGuide
To use the TouchGuide on a Via device, you must adjust the Speech Display Bar (SDB) settings so it aligns with the TouchGuide. Select Menu > Settings and scroll down to Speech Display Bar. Set the font, font size, number of lines, and icon display.

Waking up the Device when a TouchGuide is Attached
With Guided Access turned on, touching the device power button will open the device to the app. You won’t need to swipe up to unlock the device.
With Guided Access turned off, touching the device power button will open the device to the iOS/iPadOS home screen and you will need to swipe up to unlock the device and open the app. Swiping up will be very difficult for a keyguard/TouchGuide user.
Auto-Lock Settings
The Auto-lock feature on your iPad allows you to set the amount of time that elapses before the device automatically locks or turns off the display. Your device was shipped with Auto-Lock set to 15 Minutes. If you want to change this setting:
On a non-dedicated device:
Open the iOS/iPadOS Settings.
Swipe down and tap on Display & Brightness.
Select Auto-Lock and choose your new lock time.
Notes:
If Guided Access is used on an Open System, you will also need to go to Accessibility > Guided Access > Display Auto-Lock and change the setting there as well.
If you want to use a longer auto-lock time but want to know how it is affecting your battery life, select Battery from the Settings, swipe down to see Battery Usage by App, and check Home & Lock Screen.
On a dedicated device:
With Guided Access turned on, touching the device power button will open the device to the app. You won’t need to swipe up to unlock the device.
If the client can’t physically access the power button to wake the device, call PRC-Saltillo Sales to open your device. Then follow the instructions under “On a non-dedicated device.” Please note that there is a one-time charge for unlocking your device.
