Edit a Page

  1. Go to the page you want to edit.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  3. Select Menu and Edit Page Layout. The Edit Page window opens.  

  4. Do any of the following:

    1. rename the page

    2. change the page type or background color

    3. add, change, or remove an image

  5. Select Save.


Duplicate a Page

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Import/Copy Pages.  

  3. Select Duplicate This Page. The New Page Name window will display the current name plus “Copy”.

  4. Select the name and use the keyboard to enter an appropriate name for the duplicated page.

  5. Select Save. The duplicated page will be displayed with the new name.

  6. Edit the page as needed.

  7. When you finish, select Done to exit edit mode.


Load Another Page

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Load Another Page.

  3. Scroll up to find the page you want to load.

  4. Select Done.


Create a New Blank Page

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Add New Page. The New Page window opens.  

  3. Tap the Page Name field to open a keyboard and enter a name.

  4. If you want to make this page your new home page, select the Page Type menu and select Home Page.

  5. Select a background color or an image (optional).

  6. Select Save. A new page will be displayed with blank buttons.

    Note: The new page will include Clear and Go Back buttons. The Go Back button includes the Navigate Home action. When you select the button, it will navigate to the home page.

  7. Add content to the blank page or select Done to add content later.


Choose a New Keyboard

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Import/Copy Pages.

  3. Select Import Another Page.

  4. Select the vocabulary file that contains the keyboard you want and select the appropriate page to import.

  5. Select Import.

  6. Edit the original keyboard button and have it navigate to the new keyboard page.

  7. Edit the linking button to navigate to the new page.


Set a Page as the Keyboard Page

  1. Enable Vocab Builder.

  2. Go to Edit Page > Menu > Edit Page Layout.

  3. In the Edit Page window, scroll to Page Type and select Keyboard.

    This will set the current page to the Keyboard page and clear any other pages that are set as the Keyboard page.


Copy a Page from a Different Vocabulary File

There are times when borrowing previously created pages could be a time saver. LAMP Words for Life allows you to import multiple pages at one time.

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Import/Copy Pages.  

  3. Select Import Another Page.  

  4. Select the vocabulary file that contains the page you want and select the appropriate pages to import. A checkmark will appear following each page you select.

  5. Select Import and select .

  6. While still in Edit Mode, select the button that you want to navigate to the imported pages.

  7. Select Edit This Button.

  8. Give the button a label and, if needed, an icon and make any style changes you want.

  9. Scroll down to Button Actions, select Add, and then select Navigate.

  10. Select the page you imported.

  11. Select Save and select Done.


Override the Background Color

Use this procedure to change the background color of all pages in a vocabulary. This is especially useful if you increase the button margin, revealing more of the background space surrounding buttons. For information on increasing the space around buttons, see Increase the Button Margin.

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Page Style Override. The Vocab Override window displays color override options.  

  3. Select the Background Color field to open a list of colors.

  4. Select a color. The color will appear in the Background Color field.

  5. To override the default background color, toggle ON Override Background.

  6. Select Save. Select Done to exit edit mode.

    Tip: You can switch between the default page background colors and the override color as needed by toggling ON/OFF Override Background.


Change Your Home Page

  1. Go to the page you want to use as your home page.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Page. The page is now in Edit Mode.

  3. Select Menu. The Edit Page menu opens.  

  4. Select Edit Page Layout. The Edit Page window opens.  

  5. Tap the current Page Type. The Page Type menu opens.  

  6. Select Home Page.

  7. Select to complete the change and select Done to exit edit mode.


Unable to Delete Home Page

Your home page is the starting point for all words in your vocabulary. For this reason, you cannot delete the home page. If you try to delete it, a message will advise you to set a different page as the home page.

Example 1: Try to Delete the Home Page from the Edit Page Menu

Select Menu and Edit Page. Then select Menu and Delete This Page. A message will warn that you cannot delete the home page and advise you to set another page as the home page.

Select Okay to close the message. Then set another page as the home page. See Change Your Home Page. If you still want to delete this page, you now will be able to.

Example 2: Try to Delete the Home Page from the Page Type Window

Select Menu and Edit Page. Then select Menu and Edit Page Layout. In the Edit Page window, select Home Page in the Page Type field. In the Page Type window, select the Home Page checkmark. A message will warn that you cannot uncheck the box and advise you to set another page as the home page.

Select Okay to close the message. Then set another page as the home page; see Change Your Home Page. If you still want to delete this page, you will now be able to.


Add a Gesture to a Page

  1. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Gestures.

  3. Select +. The Edit Gestures window opens.

  4. Add a label and message.

  5. To add gestures to an entire vocabulary file at one time, select Apply to All Pages.

  6. Select the Gesture Type field and select the gesture type you want. A checkmark will appear following your selection.

  7. Select Add and select the gesture action you want.

    Note: To delete a gesture action, select Edit. A red A red icon showing a minus sign icon will be displayed in front of each action. Select the red icon next to the gesture action you want to delete. A Delete button will appear. Select the Delete button to delete the action.

  8. Select Save. Select Done to exit edit mode.


Add a Verb Page

Quickly add a page with the different grammatical forms of a verb.

  1. Navigate to the vocabulary page to which you want to add the button.

  2. Select Menu and Edit Page.

  3. Select the button or select the blank button location you want to use. A menu will open.

  4. Select Add Verb Page. The Add Verb Page window will open.

  5. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter any form of the word.

  6. Select the Add all Forms button. The verb with its endings will be displayed.

    • If a verb form is missing or incorrect, you can manually enter the correct word.

    • Select Search to find an image for the verb and its forms.

    • Select Photo to find an existing photo to use as the image.

    • Select Camera to take a picture to use as the image.

    • Use Generar imagen to generate an image. The setting “Generación de imagenes con IA” must be enabled. When you select Generar imagen, a message explains how to access the AI settings.

    • If you need to replace the image, select Clear to delete it.

  7. Select Save. A button matching the style of the current page will be created.

  8. Select Done to exit edit mode. The verb page you created will be displayed.
